When you think traditional Greece, we think of Gerani Village, a handful of narrow streets, whitewashed houses with terracotta rooftops and olive groves all around. There’s a real taste of local life in the snug tavernas and village stores, but if you fancy some sun and sand, the beach is just down the road.

And nearby we have the town of Rethymno (or Rethymnon) this is everything a Greek town should be and more. It’s one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Greece and one of the most beautiful towns in Crete, within touching distance.
